Wiedikon

The quiet residential district Kreis 3, also called Wiedikon, is located on the lower slopes of the Uetliberg. The mountain is known for hiking trails such as the Planet Trail (Planetenweg) and offers a viewing platform and a restaurant. In the north of the district you can find the up-and-coming, urban district of Sihlfeld with fashion boutiques and the large Sihlcity shopping centre. Sports bars and cocktail lounges attract a young, trend-conscious audience and international cuisine is served in the cosy restaurants of the district.

Uetliberg

The Uetliberg is the local mountain of Zurich. From the summit (871 m above sea level) you have a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the lake up to the Alps. The Uetliberg is the starting point for signposted hikes, a mountain bike route and for the «Planet Trail». This approximately two-hour hike leads to the Felsenegg cable car in Adliswil and provides a fascinating insight into the solar system.

Binz

Binz is a neighbourhood in a state of complete change and is totally trendy. Where there was once a clay pit with commercial buildings, there are now offices for start-ups, innovative restaurants and bars. Die Binzallee stretches from Bühlstrasse to Talwiesenstrasse.

Langstrasse

The former red light district of Zurich attracts with international cuisine, a varied night life and big city charm. This is Zurich's most colourful and diverse district. During the day, you can enjoy fine specialities and shopping options, while the street mutates into Zurich's amusement mile at night. One bar is lined up with the other, trendy clubs are located here.

Triemli Hospital

The City Hospital Triemli is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland and is considered as a hospital centre of national importance. The hospital, that opened in 1970, is located in the Wiedikon district (district 3), in the area of the Friesenberg area. In contrast to the city centre, the hospital complex (463 m above sea level) is around 60 meters above the level of Lake Zurich, at the foot of the Uetliberg.

Letzigrund Stadium

Every year world-class athletics and world music stars meet in the modern multi-purpose stadium for sport and culture. The home games of FCZ and GC are played here (25,000 seats). The Letzigrund stadium also serves as a training base for athletics. It is located in the west of Zurich in the Altstetten district, around three kilometres from the city centre.
